Why, What, How?

Why energy efficiency?

Where you live is important.  Your home will have an impact on your health, happiness, disposable income, and so on.

Many people wouldn’t think it, but by taking the steps to make your home energy efficient you will in turn be making it cheaper to heat, a healthier place to live, and increasing your disposable income!

What is it?

Using resources conscientiously and sensibility underpins the term energy efficiency.  There are two ways to move towards a more energy efficient lifestyle:

  • Your behaviour

Change to low energy lighting, turn off your stand-by’s, don’t leave appliances plugged in, put a jumper on instead of turning the heating up, turn down your thermostat …… all of these are simple behaviour suggestions which will save money and energy around the home and wont cost you a penny.

  • The building

Each building has a different efficiency rating.  You need to explore where your building is losing heat so measures can be suggested and/or installed to improve its rating.
