Community Action DaysCommunity Action Days are a great way for residents to meet service providers such as Transform will be holding four Community Action Days a year. The first two have taken place in Ilfracombe, but Action Days will be coming to Combe Martin and Bratton Fleming later this year. The days need to be tailored to meet the needs of the community, so if you have ideas on how the day should go in your area, give Transform a call on 01271 867131 or email the team. Oxford Grove, Ilfracombe, 12 November 2004Three skip loads of rubbish were removed and the hedge in Cow Lane tidied up on 12 November. The Police, Fire Service, Environmental Health Officers, Housing officers and Transform listened to residents concerns and learned that the taxi rank, parking, rubbish disposal and noise are among the top issues. Transform and Community Development workers helped to re-form the Residents Association, which negotiated with Green Sweep for large lockable bins to store rubbish between collections. The group is now working on the other issues raised with help from Transform.
