Health
Coronary heart disease and mental health illnesses are higher than in other parts of Devon. Many people living with health problems such as heart disease need help to manage their condition to prevent complications later. Many elderly and frail people are isolated from health services and transport is an issue. Poor housing and a lack of recreational facilities affects health.
Transform will:
- Work with health professionals to tackle issues in hotspot areas, particularly poor housing;
- Help to improve recreational facilities (see Community Safety).
